Developer terms

A summary of the rules you accept when enrolling in the Dukkan developer program. Where a listing, agreement or decision recorded inside the portal is more specific, that record governs. The money numbers are owned by Earnings and payouts and are read together with it.

Versions#

Enrollment records the version in force when you accept; a new version reopens the prompt before you continue using the portal.

Your account#

• One organization per user. An existing merchant organization is the same organization you enroll as a developer; no second organization is created.
• Only the organization owner with a verified email can enroll the organization.
• A personal developer account is permanently limited to one member.
• Some actions (secret rotation, distribution grants, the payout account) require a sign-in within the last 15 minutes.

Building and testing#

• You may create apps and themes and test them privately on sandbox stores and linked stores without Dukkan's approval.
• OAuth scopes are granted per store by the merchant and never widen silently. Request only the scopes your app needs; reviewers check this.
• Apps that request customer data (clients:read) require your team to accept the data processing agreement first. Customer data is processed only to provide the app's declared function, is never sold or shared, never appears in webhook payloads, and is deleted when an install is revoked.

Publishing#

• Public marketplace availability requires an approved submission. Submissions are immutable snapshots: a frozen version, prices and a complete Arabic and English listing.
• Dukkan reviews every submission and may approve, request changes or reject with a developer-visible reason, with a first response within 5 business days.
• Published prices are frozen into each submission. Merchants pay through manual settlement confirmed by Dukkan.
• Themes are a one-time purchase with lifetime updates, and the merchant has a 14-day refund right if the theme was never published live.

Earnings#

• Your first USD 50,000 in lifetime marketplace revenue carries no platform fee; after that Dukkan keeps 15%.
• Balances of USD 25 equivalent or more are paid out monthly to the payout account your team configures.
• Refunds are deducted from your balance and may take it negative, carrying forward against future earnings.

Enforcement#

• Dukkan may suspend an app that violates these terms, harms merchants or breaches the data processing agreement. Suspension revokes active tokens, withdraws install grants and delists the marketplace listing (full effect).
• Dukkan may delist a theme or app from the marketplace; licensed stores stay serviceable on the installed version.
• Verified-developer status is granted and may be revoked by Dukkan.
